The Insider Self Development Centre (ISDC), a youth-based initiative of Insider Digital Newspaper is set to hold its maiden Success Bound Conference in furtherance of its goal to prepare young people for the complex and highly demanding journey towards life’s victories.
The event which is scheduled for 9:00am, December 9, 2019 at Hall 2, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, would enlighten participants on the essentials of self-improvement and personal development.
Participants would also be exposed to knowledge on relationship management skills which would help them thrive in a world that is largely dependent on interpersonal relationships.
According to the ISDC Coordinator, Mr Nafiu Toyin Abdulqadri, who spoke in a statement on Monday, the conference was organized in view of the fact that mentorship was the peculiar need of hundreds of creative young people in Kwara State who seek a bit of motivation to run with in their various areas of interest and talent.
Abdulqadri added that, “At ISDC, we place premium on the innate abilities of individuals to push and stretch their potentials to deliver success, both to themselves and to humanity. It’s on this basis that we have set up a platform to enhance the necessary skills and generate the needed motivation that lead to academic, career and life success.
“Also, we know that learning from the experience of others is a huge aspect of learning, especially if the mentor is an outstanding figure who attained success as a result of hard work and self-motivation.”
He revealed that the maiden edition of the Success Bound Conference would feature a former Minister of Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi as Guest Mentor.
Other discussants expected at the event include, Mr Lawal Olohungbebe, a renowned community development practitioner and Coordinator, KWASU Centre for Community Development, who would speak on Volunteerism and Community Development; and Mr Oluwatobi Yeye-Irojah, President, Phursuns World, who would give deep insights on Self-development.
