COVID-19: HIDS postpones security summit

By Ibraheem Solaudeen.

The Hannis Institute for Development Studies (HIDS) has postponed its planned security summit earlier slated to hold in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, on Saturday, 28th March, 2020.

The postponement, according to the convener of the summit and principal partner of HIDS, Mr. Olohungbebe Lawal became necessary owing to the current global threat posed by the ravaging Coronavirus, otherwise called COVID-19.

Lawal, who discloses that a new date would be announced as soon as the threat level becomes less threatening, said the need to ensure the well-being of both organisers and participants at the summit take precedents over any other considerations.
