Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of BringBackOurGirls (BBOG), has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, for not self-isolating after returning from a recent trip to Germany.

Aisha, in a series of tweets queried why Kyari, who was reported to have contracted the Coronavirus on Tuesday was allowed around the president despite returning from a high-risk country, which has recorded over 30,000 COVID-19 cases.

She tweeted, “Is it that the President doesn’t have a President’s doctor or what? Nobody was watching out for him? There was no doctor whose words was authority when it came to the President’s health and well being?

“How come a high risk person was allowed near the President? Incompetence.”

Meanwhile, Presidency sources quoted by Sahara Reporters on Wednesday revealed that President Buhari had gone into self-isolation following a “persistent cough” on Tuesday evening.

Although, the president was reportedly tested and certified negative a few days ago, “a single negative test result does not necessarily mean a person is not carrying the virus as the specimen might have been collected at a very early stage of the infection”, the report noted.
