The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has tested negative for the rampaging Coronavirus pandemic, otherwise known as COVID-19.

The update was shared on Wednesday morning by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters.

The Presidency was thrown into panic on Tuesday after the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari was diagnosed with the deadly virus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) immediately swung into action, compiling names of individuals who had made contact with the COS for possible testing.

The agency was reported to have carried out a test on the Vice President on Tuesday at his residence, where he has been on self-isolation.

It was also gathered that although President Buhari had tested negative for the virus, the test results for three of Kyari’s aides allegedly came back positive.

Nigeria has so far recorded 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases, following the announcement of two new cases in Osun and Lagos by the NCDC.
