COVID-19 cases climb to 65 as FG confirms 14 new infections in Lagos, FCT

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 14 new COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 65.

According to a tweet on its verified Twitter handle on Thursday night, 12 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos State, while two were detected in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The tweet read: “14 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 12 in Lagos.

“Of the 14, 6 were detected on a vessel, 3 are returning travellers into Nigeria & 1 is close contact of a confirmed case. As at 7:35 pm 26th March, there are 65 confirmed cases, 3 discharged, 1 death.”

Lagos has so far recorded 44 confirmed cases, followed by the FCT with 12.
