The Kayode Adamolekun Foundation (KAF), has congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the 1441AH Ramadan Fast as they observe the 2020 Eid-il-Fitr.
KAF, in a statement by its Chairman, Engineer Kayode Adamolekun, noted that the Muslim Ummah had gone through one of the most rigorous Islamic obligations by observing the one month fasting and prayers, while urging them to imbibe the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period through sacrifices, almsgiving to the needy, continuous exhibition of piety as well as charity to one another.
Adamolekun, who stated that the celebration was coming at a time when the world had been thrown into confusion following the outbreak of COVID-19, expressed optimism that the global health crisis will soon be over.
He further enjoined Muslims to use the period to pray for an end to the pandemic, while appealing that the Sallah celebration be observed without much fanfare to complement government’s efforts in containing the spread of the virus.
The KAF chairman advised all Nigerians to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures outlined by health authorities in the country, by practicing personal hygiene, social distancing, use of face mask and hand-washing especially at public gatherings.
