Following the dissolution of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party today, a former Kogi State senator, Dino Melaye has released a viral video in which he was seen singing and dancing in mockery of the immediate past chairman of the ruling party, Comrade Adam Oshiomole.
Oshiomole had in the times past mocked opposition politicians who failed elections, including Dino Melaye.
In what now seems like a payback, Melaye, who sang in Yoruba, was seen dancing in jubilation to the travails of Oshiomole whose dream of returning to office as APC chairman has now been terminated with the dissolution today of the party’s NWC and the subsequent inauguration of a caretaker committee headed by Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni.
Since the court of appeal affirmed his suspension as APC chairman, Adam Oshiomole, who had a sizeable number of the party executive members behind him, had hoped that it was a matter of time before all the legal huddles would be cleared and a path opened for him to return as the party chairman.
Before the final dissolution of the party’s NWC, at least three different individuals have laid claim to the acting chairmanship of the APC. Among them was a deputy national secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, a national vice chairman, South South, of the party, Chief Eta Hilliard who was said to be acting on behalf of the now late Senator Abiola Ajimobi who had initially been appointed as Ag. Chairman following Oshiomole’s suspension.
