The grieving wife of late former Oyo State governor, Mr. Abiola Ajimobi has expressed her pain with the manner officials of Oyo state government treated her and her family during the sickness and eventual death of her husband.

Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, while hosting sympathisers who visited her residence on a condolence visit, said she had expected Oyo state government to send her words of encouragement, which no one did all the while her husband was sick, and not even after his demise.

Turning to the deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan who was seated beside her alongside other dignitaries, she said “not even you, Mr. deputy governor.”

The obviously embarrassed deputy governor tried to defend himself, saying he called the former governor’s wife while her husband was sick. But Mrs. Florence rebuffed his excuse.

She told the deputy governor, “You should have sent me a text message sir. I don’t have your number, I can’t pick up. I’m a wife of a politician, I don’t pick numbers I don’t know. You can send me a message sir, Your Excellency. Everybody is going to die.”
