Pastor Sunday Edino was Monday arrested alongside his accomplices by the Kogi State Police Command over 1.2 billion naira worth of medical equipments looted from a warehouse in the State.

The police team, led by the police Commissioner in Kogi State, Ede Ayuba, had been following the trail of hoodlums who have perpetrated varying degrees of looting across the State. It was during the process that a warehouse where the medical equipment were kept was discovered.

Already, hoodlums have carted away several medical gadgets from the store, including some CT/MRI machines. However, some of the stolen equipments were later retrieved from bushes around the warehouse.

The hunt for the looters, however, took a surprising dimension when a Pastor, Sunday Edino was arrested alongside the criminals.

It would be recalled that in the last couple of days, several cities in Nigeria have had to contend with activities of looters, mostly young people, who have ransacked both private and public properties, carting away valuable belongings in the process.

In Kogi, the hoodlums invaded the Agricultural Development Project office along Lokoja-Okene road in the early hours of Monday, stealing a sizeable number of fertilizer and other agro-chemicals. The looting spree was also extended to a warehouse where relief materials for flood victims were kept, carting away items such as mattresses, beddings, roofing sheets and other materials in the process.

Earlier, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, had warned youths in the State prosecuting the #EndSARS protests to comport themselves, warning that his government would not spare anyone who engaged in criminal activities
