Saliu Tanko Yakassai, suspended Special Adviser to Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been reinstated.

Yakassai, at the height of the #EndSARS protest, had said that President Muhammadu Buhari should have come out to address Nigerians, stating that the Buhari government “lacks empathy.”

The statement, made on the micro blogging site,Twitter, angered his principal, Gov Ganduje, who ordered his immediate suspension.

But after two weeks of suspension, the media aide has now been reinstated.

Announcing his reinstatement early morning on Thursday, Yakassai, through his verified tweeter handle @dawisu, tweeted:

“I wish to thank each and every one that reached out to me, or sent messages of goodwill over my reinstatement as Special Adviser Media to H.E @GovUmarGanduje, after my 2wks suspension. I am grateful to you all for your support and prayers. Thank you so much.”
