“While the year 2020 has been highly challenging for state government , we are HOPEFUL that year 2021 will be a joyous year for youths in Lagos state.

“With over 40% of the 2021 budget focused towards youth develoomemt, we strongly believe different youth development initiatives will be rolled out from the first quarter.

“For youth development to be effective, Youth owned micro enterprises must be revived as they are the engine room of any nation’s economy.

“Lagos State government has seen the need to be more proactive and ensure there are back to back initiatives that are solution driven and their positive effects should have both short and long term effects.

“We at Horizontal Initiative Concepts LTD understand the fact that when our youth are angry, it affect all sectors of the economy which directly or indirectly affects businesses and bring about restrictions to movements.

“We are aware we can’t cover all the areas of youth development, but we will focus on four major areas which include, Micro Enterprises,
Football and society, Business Creation and Development, and
Drug Abuse Battle.”

The principal consultant at Horizontal Initiative Concept LTD, Mr Emmanuel Amuwo, added that “of a truth, no one knows tomorrow except God. But it is paramount we have plans in place which would foster implementation.

“Knowing the second wave of COVID 19 is here,  there is a need to map out strategic ways to have our plans implemented.

“We look forward to a more robust partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of youth and social development.

“On this note, we appeal to youth in the state to take good advantage of the opportunities that would be made available in the coming year.”
