In what appears like starting the new year on a clean slate, the Kwara State governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has dissolved his cabinet.
Although INSIDER sighted copy of a letter dated 31 December, 2020 addressed to the Commissioner of Communication, Harriet Oshatimehin intimating her of the cabinet dissolution and thanking her for her services to the State, the official confirmation of the development came through a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye late evening on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Part of the statement by Ajakaye reads,
“His Excellency especially commends the Honourable cabinet members for their contributions to the development of the state while also wishing them the best in their future endeavours.”
Ajakaye also clarified that the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Sabah Jubril would retains his seat.
The former cabinet members were directed hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries.
