Residents of Epe in Lagos, today prevented officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from raiding the residence of former Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Officials of the commission, who had earlier visited the Ikoyi residence of the former governor, were faced with hostility in his hometown, as residents marched to the streets pelting stones at the vehicles which conveyed the EFCC personnel.
The Cable reports that the windscreen of one of the vehicles got shattered while the irate youth yelled abuses at the officials.
