The children of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, have issued a stern warning to Queen Dami, urging her to stop making disparaging remarks about their family.
In a statement, the children expressed their disappointment and embarrassment over Queen Dami’s recent interviews, in which she allegedly spoke negatively about their late father. They reminded her that she is not the only ex-wife of the Alaafin and that her behavior is unbecoming of a queen.
The statement read in part: “We’ve noticed you have been granting interviews recently, which is entirely your choice. However, we strongly request that you refrain from mentioning our father in your conversations… Your remarks about our father are deeply unsettling, and this behavior has become increasingly embarrassing and unacceptable.”
The children warned Queen Dami that any further defamatory comments would not be tolerated and that they reserve the right to take legal or reputational actions if necessary.
They concluded by stating, “You are no longer a part of the family. Please stop tarnishing our family name with unnecessary and disrespectful comments.”
