The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has reconstituted a 12-man committee of Nollywood stakeholders, ahead of the 2020 Academy Awards also known as The Oscars.
AMPAS is giving opportunity to Nigerian movie makers, within and outside Nigeria, to take part in the most celebrated global creative award, especially in the International Feature Film category.
The newly reconstituted board, which comprised of both new and old faces in the movie industry in Nigeria, is headed by pioneer member, Chineze Anyaene as Chairman.
Other members include Mildred Okwo, CJ Obasi, DJ Tee, Mahmood Ali-Balogun, Charles Novia, Ngozi Okafor, Chioma Ude, Bruce Ayonote, Abba Makama, Ramsey Nouah and Shaibu Husseini.
Nigeria first joined 82 other countries to contest in the IFF (International Feature Film) category of the Oscars in February, 2014.
