APC Stalwart, Philanthropist, Ilufoye, Empowers Constituents

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Samson Tosin Ilufoye (JC Sam) on Wednesday provided cash support to 150 residents of Oyun local government area, Kwara State.

Samson Ilufoye presented the cheque to beneficiaries drawn from all wards in Oyun local government during the launching of Ajoje Micro Grant Empowerment at Elerin Palace, Erin-Ile.

In his address, the Philanthropist said the empowerment programme was organized to complement efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and celebrate 25th Democracy Day in Nigeria.

According to him, we are using this empowerment programme tagged AJOJE as a form of wealth redistribution so that the widows and the less privileged can have a sense of belonging especially in this very period that is a bit hard. Government is doing all its best, it is incumbent on us as citizens to always complement their efforts in the spirit of democracy.

“We have never had it this good in Kwara, so our governor deserves to be appreciated and complemented. For us in Oyun local government, we are very grateful to His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his equitabledistributionofdevelopment in Kwara.”

Ilufoye said the beneficiaries include women, widows, and vulnerable persons in the society.

The programme was well attended. The Development Officer of Oyun local government, the SA to HE AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Urban Market, APC state, local and ward executive as well as community leaders were all in attendance. The dignitaries took turn to eulogies Gov Abdulrazaq for always putting Kwara first and for the consistency of JC Sam in reaching out to the vulnerable persons in Oyun local government.

Earlier, hundreds of APC members embarked on Democracy Day Walk across streets in Erin-Ile to create awareness about the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq within five years. According to Ilufoye, the walk was aimed at acknowledging the governor’s achievements in infrastructure development, education, health, human capital development, youth inclusion, and gender equality.
