The All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF) has hailed the emergence of its founder and former Chairman, Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed, as one of the most Influential People of African Descent, Global 100 Under 40.
The Forum extolled Ahmed’s sterling leadership qualities as well as his contributions to political development and good governance in Nigeria, which according to the group, makes him worthy of the honor.
The APYF, in a statement jointly signed by its National Chairman, Ife Adebayo, and National Secretary, Oscar Obi, further highlighted Barrister Ahmed’s deservedness of the award.
The statement read: “Considering the visible and impactful role Barrister Ismaeel has played in the politics of Nigeria, especially during the campaigns and struggle to entrench progressive governance in Nigeria; we are proud to say this is a most deserving award.
“As someone who has also made visible progress in his work as one of the frontline managers of Nigeria’s Social Investment Programs (SIP) in his capacity as the Senior Special Assistant on SIP to the President, lifting many households and individuals out of poverty and bettering the lot of millions of Nigerians; it is a fitting tribute to the capacity of Barrister Ismaeel as someone who combines the capacity of a politician with the refined intellect of an administrator. It’s therefore not surprising that the award is being awarded him in the ‘Politics & Governance category.’
“To us in the APYF, we are most excited that our founder, who has done a great job mobilizing and galvanising young people from across Nigeria to embrace the ideological politics of our party, the APC, is being rewarded for his excellent interventions in the personal and political development of multitude of Nigerian youths.”
The Youth Forum thanked the initiators of the award, Most Influential People of African Decent (MIPAD) for the honor accorded its founder, while reiterating its commendation for Barrister Ahmed who has attracted such global recognition by virtue of his compelling leadership attributes and trademark ingenuity.
“It’s our prayers that God continues to strengthen the awardee and guide him to keep being the shining light and inspiration to our generation”, the statement added.
