Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has joined prominent individuals and indigenes of Ilorin Emirate across the world to mourn the death of Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi-Jos, the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin.
Abdullahi notes that the late Balogun Alanamu was one of the exemplary community leaders and role models whose devotion to the peace and development of Ilorin Emirate was uncontestable.
The former minister described Alhaji Akanbi-Jos, who died earlier today in Ilorin, as a remarkable guiding light of our community and a man who teaches by the power of personal example.
He prays that God in His mercies would reward Alhaji Akanbi-Jos for his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings and grant him a place in Aljanat Fridaus. He also beseeched Allah (SWT) to grant the family of the late Balogun and the entire Ilorin Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss of the distinguished community leader.
Abdullahi commiserated with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR), members of the Ilorin Emirate Council and Kwara State as a whole over the loss.
