The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita has explained why she returned to work despite speculations about her purported retirement.
Recall that the embattled Head of Service endured a four-day grilling by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N3bn
fraud.
Her conspicuous absence at the recently concluded two-day retreat for the newly inaugurated ministers also raised eyebrows, as many attributed it to her alleged resignation.
Oyo-Ita, who returned to work today was reported to have confided to a staff in her office that President Muhammadu Buhari asked her to come back to the office.
It was also learnt that the Head of Service, at no time tendered her resignation/ letter of intent to retire from service.
