The Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship CELF – KWARA has applauded the appointment of its former convener, Dr. Lawal O. Olohungbebe, as the Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, describing it as a fitting acknowledgment of his dedication to nurturing young talents, especially in underserved communities across the state.
In a statement issued by CELF Convener Dr. Abdulrasheed Saadudeen, the youth development platform highlighted Dr. Olohungbebe’s unwavering commitment to community development, education, and youth empowerment.
The group also expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for recognizing Dr. Olohungbebe’s contributions to human development and appointing him to this critical role. According to CELF, the appointment reflects the Governor’s strong commitment to advancing education and human capital development in Kwara State.
“During his tenure as Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, Dr. Olohungbebe played a pivotal role in driving grassroots engagement, spearheading community-empowerment initiatives, and implementing sustainable programs that have transformed countless lives across the state. We are confident that his wealth of experience will bring meaningful reforms and innovative ideas to the education sector, further propelling its growth. His expertise will also significantly contribute to human development in Kwara State,” the statement read.
The statement further emphasized Dr. Olohungbebe’s visionary leadership in various development-focused platforms, including the Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA) and the Hanis Institute for Development Studies (HIDS). Through these initiatives, he laid a strong foundation for capacity-building among young people, particularly in underserved areas, by providing access to educational opportunities and bridging the gap between government policies and community needs.
CELF pledged its total support to the new commissioner and wished him success in his new role, expressing confidence that his leadership would bring transformative changes to Kwara State’s education and human capital development sectors.
