Christmas: Bolaji Abdullahi felicitates with Christians, expresses optimism about Nigeria’s future

The former Minister for Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has congratulated Christians across the country on this year’s Christmas Celebration.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi described Christmas as an important celebration that reminds of the love of God for humanity as demonstrated in the birth and life of Jesus Christ.

He noted that with Christmas comes the blessed assurance that though our challenges as a country may last for a night, surely joy, respite and restoration will come at dawn. He observed that while the country may be faced with challenges on several front, we must remain resolute and firm in our belief that a brighter tomorrow will come.

“Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, is not just symbolic for its celebration; it is most fundamentally about the essence and invaluable lessons that the season holds.

“As demonstrated in the circumstance of the birth of Jesus Christ and his life, we are reminded to not only emulate Him but also imbibe the principles of humility, giving, kindness, selflessness and patriotic commitment as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

“Christmas offer us a reassurance that while our country is faced with several challenges including the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, economic recession, rising cost in food prices and insecurity in almost all parts of the country, surely we shall rise from the current challenges and emerge stronger and better.

“We must also use the period of this Christmas to rededicate ourselves and renew our hope in almighty God.” The statement concluded.
