Eid-el-Kabir: Saraki Greets Nigerians on Sallah

The President of the 8th Senate and former Governor of Kwara state, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has felicitated Muslims across the world for witnessing another Sallah celebration.

According to a statement by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said the story of Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) and his unfaltering faith, exemplified by his willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismael, teaches us invaluable lessons about faith, obedience, and sacrifice.

Saraki said the lessons resonate deeply, now more than ever, as our nation grapples with various challenges and many Nigerians struggle with the current economic realities.

He encouraged Nigerians to take a moment to pray fervently for the nation and its leaders. May Allah (SWT) guide them with wisdom and compassion to make decisions that will bring prosperity, peace, and development to our beloved Nigeria.

He also urged everyone to remember the less privileged and extend a helping hand to those in need — sharing our blessings through charity or simple acts of kindness.

“Let us also remember our courageous security agents who stand on the front lines defending our country. May Almighty Allah (SWT) grant them victory over the forces of evil and keep them safe from harm’s way.

“As we do so, may Almighty Allah (SWT) bless our dear Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.

Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the Sallah rams, cows, clothes, and cash benefits by the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate have expressed their gratitude to the former Senate President, commending him for sustaining this tradition even after his tenure in government.
