Barring any last minute change, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara would, any time from now, announce a former House of Representatives member, Hon. Gbenga Peter Makanjuola as the running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Shuib Abdullahi Yamman in the 2023 elections.
It would be recalled that INSIDER NG had about a fortnight ago listed Hon. Makanjuola as one of the three politicians from Kwara South who are being considered for the position. The other two were the popular socialite, Chief Bode Oyedepo (De way) and former Special Adviser to ex-Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Agriculture, Otunba Anu Ibiwoye.
Hon. Ghenga Peter Makanjuola is a former House of Representatives member who represented Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber. He was also the deputy chief of staff to Senator Bukola Saraki as the President of the Senate in the 8th Assembly. Makanjuola, like De way, also contested for the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial ticket for Kwara South.
