In a bold move to combat the growing threat of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism in the North West region, the Federal Government has directed the Chief of Defence Staff and other military heads to relocate to Sokoto.

The relocation is part of a strategic operation to flush out bandits, including notorious leader Bello Turji, and restore peace to the region. The government has expressed concern over the persistent threat posed by banditry and terrorism, and has pledged to deploy all necessary assets to ensure the security of communities.
Dr. Matawalle assured the people of the North West region that the security forces will leave no stone unturned in their efforts to flush out the bandits, and called on residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with the military. The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to protecting the lives and properties of all Nigerians, with the security and well-being of the people remaining its top priority.
