A former staff of the Kwara State Ministry of Education, Mrs F. O. L. Aliyu has showered encomium on a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi (aka Omoluabi), as his second daughter, Fahidat Abdullahi, recently completed her law degree at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England.
INSIDER learnt that Mallam Bolaji’s first daughter, Basirat Abdullahi had earlier graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
Mrs Aliyu, who was a staff of the Kwara State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (now Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development) during Abdullahi’s dispensation as commissioner of the ministry, hailed the educational reforms he championed while at the helm of affairs of the ministry.
According to her, it’s not surprising to see his kids flourish academically, as it is a ripple effect of the love and support he renders to every child he comes across.
“Congratulations to a boss like no other and the entire Bolaji Abdullahi’s family. I’m not surprised with your kids’ achievements because of the love and support you render to all kids you come across.
“Your love for the less privileged children in Kwara brought about the Kwara Education Reform Agenda you masterminded during your reign as the Kwara State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology (now Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development).
“Youths like me that are under your tutelage always thank our stars for having a boss like you. You made us relevant in the Ministry even when we were just on our junior cadre.
“Your contribution to our lives and the lives of Kwara pupils can never be forgotten. These make us pray for you all the time that may you never labour in vain. From all youths in Omoluabi Movement we say a big congratulations to you sir, and may you continue to reap the fruit of your labour”, she said.
Similarly impressed with the successful academic strides of the Abdullahi family, the Founder/ Chief Executive Officer of WhiteBridge Communications Ltd, Mr Muhammed Abdullahi, who’s the younger brother of the former minister, praised his niece, Fahidat, for bringing honor to the family.
He said: “My pretty niece, Fahidat Abdullahi, today bagged an LLB honors.
“Respectable and intelligent, Fahidat has brought honor to the family, just like her sister before her, by completing her studies in record time.
“As she proceeds to law school and subsequently becomes the first Abdullahi to become a lawyer (biologically speaking); I pray for a future that is more glorious than the present, a life more peaceful and the wisdom that endures.
“We share in this joy and celebrate this milestone. Congratulations, specially to Funsho B. Abdullahi, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi and to the entire Abdullahi family”, he stated.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi served as the Special Assistant, Communication and Strategy to the then Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki in 2003 and later as the Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy in 2005.
