GHS Project: EnetSud Releases Details Of Alleged Over N40m Irrelevant Items

Following the statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Education, Kemi Adeosun which disproved the claims made by a civil society organization, the Elites Network For Sustainable Development, ENetSuD, to the effect that some irrelevant items worth worth over N40 million were contained in the Bill of Quantity, BoQ, for the renovation of the Government High School, Ilorin, the organization, which is famous for its #FollowKwaraMoney initiative has now released more details to justify its earlier claims.

In a statement signed by ENetSuD on Thursday titled, ‘Breakdown of over N40 Million Irrelevant Items In The BoQ Of Government High School, Ilorin,’ the organization said the irrelevant items it discovered were contained in the following categories:

1. Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation (₦4,081,590.36)

2. Project Design and Production of BoQ (₦1,723,368.66)

3. Progress Photographs (₦428,071.80)

4. Project Labelling (₦735,000)

5. Contract Administration (₦125,000)

6. Project Vetting (₦5,580,000)

7. 3% Development Levy and 5% Withholding Tax (₦25,418,159.56)

8. Repetition of General Contingency, Preliminary, and Monitoring and Evaluation at the end of the BoQ Summary (₦2,749,165)

Total amount for irrelevant items = ₦40,840,355.38
