HEADS-UP: Makanjuola, Ibiwoye, De way In Contention for Kwara PDP Deputy Governorship

Otunba Olabode Oyedepo, popularly known as Bode-Deway, Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola and Otunba Anu Ibiwoye are in contention as probable running mate to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Yamman Shuiab Abdullahi, INSIDER NG has learnt.

Bode De way from Omu Aran, headquarters of Irepodun local government area of Kwara South, is a business man with focus on media and properties. He is also a socialite who dominate the Nigerian social scene for so many years. Before now, he had his eyes on the Kwara South Senatorial seat, however he lose the ticket of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to Senator Rafiu Ibrahim in the primaries.

Hon. Ghenga Peter Makanjuola is a former House of Representatives member who represented Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber. He was also the deputy chief of staff to Senator Bukola Saraki as the President of the Senate in the 8th Assembly. Makanjuola, like De way, also contested for the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial ticket for Kwara South.

Otunba Anu Ibiwoye is from Irepodun Local Government Area. A graduate of economics, with a Masters degree in Business Administration, Ibiwoye is a fellow of the Charted Institute of economics and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. Before his foray into politics, Ibiwoye worked variously as a banker, stockbroker and financial consultant.

In 2011, Otunba Ibiwoye ran for Senate under the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). He also served former Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed as Special Adviser on Agriculture and Rural Water Support Services.
