Youth Advocate and Author, Seun Awogbenle has received a commendation from the Kaduna State Government on in his book, ‘The Urgency of Now; Why Nigeria Needs A Vision of Prosperity, Protection and Liberty.’
The Kaduna State Government, in a letter through its Chief of Staff, Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, commended Awogbenle over what he described as his writing style and encouraged him to sustain the momentum.
The letter reads in part, “I am pleased to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated July 28, 2021 and express my sincere gratitude for enclosing copies of your new book: The Urgency of Now.
“I am appreciative of your style of writing, and I encourage you to sustain the tempo. While appreciating your kind gesture, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration and best wishes.”
Recall that Awogbenle in May announced his new book, ‘The Urgency of Now; Why Nigeria needs a Vision of Prosperity and Liberty.’ The foreword of the book was written by The Founder/CEO of Cable Newspapers, Simon Kolawole.
The book has 10 chapters that harped on the imperative of visioning, leadership, youth participation and active citizenship. Awogbenle was quoted as saying that “In the face of the present uncertainty and unending agitation, he is convinced that what Nigeria needs is a vision, not secession or division.”
At the presentation of the Book in June, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila described Awogbenle as a young man who has shown a great sense of direction and is helping to chart a course for the Nigerian vision.
The former President of the Senate, Sen. Bukola Saraki in his own remarks described Awogbenle as a “focused, deliberate, knowledgeable young man who has risen from his punditry to coordinating one of the country’s leadership mentorship programmes.”
