…as Sen. Ajadi, lawmakers’ loggerhead continues
The dust of crisis in the Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun local government is unsettled, as the local government congress stands inconclusive.
While stakeholders in the AA caucus like Alh. Iliasu Moro are of the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Support Group (AASG), the likes of Sen. Makanjuola Ajadi pioneered the People’s Frontier Movement (PFM). Other pro-Abdulrazaq splinter groups includes Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Progressives (AAP) among others.
According to a member of the AASG who spoke to this medium on condition of anonymity, leaders of APC in Ifelodun at a meeting today said “APC in Ifelodun Local Government will explode if the Congress take place today.”
Recall that there has been cold war between the two (2) House of Assembly members from Ifelodun and Sen. Makanjuola Ajadi, a development that made the lawmakers stand against Hon Harriet Adenike Afolabi -Oshatimehin’s nomination and screening at KWHA last Tuesday, before she was eventually confirmed on Thursday after lots of impasse.
Kwara state Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi is also reportedly not left out of the imbroglio, as the highest ranging office holder who is supposed to make peace springs up another list.
According to our source, “Alabi called the two (2) factional leaders; Sen. Makanjuola Ajadi of PFM and. Alh M. T Lawal of AAP to a meeting, to harmonize Ifelodun LG party executives list, but to our surprise, the Deputy Governor in connivance with some few desperate politicians prepared another list of executives, after the two factional leaders have already agreed to harmonize list made by AAP and PFM.”
“The two (2) leaders agreed to go in line with the Governor’s directive because it will resolve the long time crisis in lfelodun APC by maintaining the status quo, but replace the Party Chairman with a neutral person from igbaja ward 1, where the former Chairman that is not loyal to Gov. Abdulrazaq came from”, he added.
Our source said “by this development, the Deputy Governor have spring up a third force with two (2) House of Assembly members from Ifelodun, which elicited the fresh crises rocking Ifelodun local government.”
