Kwara South Youth Congress (KSYC) has criticized Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, and Rep Tijani Ismail for their subpar performance, urging them to step up their legislative game. The group expressed disappointment with the lawmakers’ failure to address the needs and concerns of their constituents, despite their campaign promises.
The group criticized Ashiru for not doing enough to address educational and healthcare needs in Kwara South. They urged him to sponsor a bill establishing a vocational training center and revive a bill converting the Federal Polytechnic Offa to a technical degree-awarding university.
In the same vein, the group accused Ajuloopin of neglecting infrastructure needs in his constituency. They urged him to sponsor a bill allocating funds for road rehabilitation and facilitating projects.
The group also called on Ismail to prioritize social welfare, particularly for vulnerable groups. They urged him to sponsor a bill establishing a social welfare program for the elderly and disabled.
The Kwara South Youth Congress warned that if the lawmakers fail to improve, they will mobilize their members to vote them out in the next election.
