In its pursuit of sustainable growth and development, Kwara State Government has successfully inaugurated the Kwara State Human Capital Development (HCD) Council Members.
The ceremony, which took place on January 20, 2025, was attended by key stakeholders, including the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mr. Kayode Alabi.
In his keynote address, Alabi reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the education, health, and workforce sectors in the state. He was joined by other dignitaries, including the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, the Commissioner for Health, the Commissioner for Business and Innovation, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Education and Housing.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, Hon. Mariam Nnafatima Imam emphasized the critical need for Human Capital Development (HCD) as a catalyst for progress. She highlighted the importance of HCD in improving the quality of education, strengthening the healthcare system, and fostering a skilled workforce to meet the demands of the modern economy.
The establishment of the HCD Council is expected to ensure that no one is left behind as Kwara State charts a path towards sustainable development. By prioritizing education, health, and workforce development, the state government aims to lay a strong foundation for the future and empower its citizens to achieve their full potential.
