It’s been a week since the successful conclusion of Play With Kwara Youths 4.0 (PWKY 4.0), an initiative aimed at promoting unity and togetherness among Kwara State youths. The event, which brought together young people from diverse backgrounds, was hailed as a resounding success, with participants and organizers alike expressing their pride and gratitude.
According to Yusuf Mutiu Olaitan, Convener of PWKY, the initiative has made significant strides in promoting unity and inclusivity among Kwara youths. “We’re not just a sporting initiative; we’re a movement that seeks to bring our youths together, regardless of their background, religion, or ethnicity,” Olaitan said.
PWKY 4.0 saw a significant increase in participation, with youths from across the state coming together to compete in various sporting events. The initiative also provided a platform for youths to showcase their talents, receive mentorship, and access resources that can help them achieve their goals.
Beyond the sporting events, PWKY has made a tangible impact on the lives of Kwara youths. The initiative has provided financial support for education, emergency settlements, debt payments, and other forms of assistance. Olaitan expressed his gratitude to the numerous individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of PWKY 4.0, including His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Minister of Youth Development Hon. Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, and Senator Saliu Mustapha, among others.
As PWKY looks to the future, Olaitan emphasized the initiative’s commitment to promoting unity, inclusivity, and empowerment among Kwara youths. “We’re not resting on our laurels; we’re committed to doing even more in the coming months. We’ll continue to provide a platform for our youths to come together, to learn from each other, and to build a brighter future for themselves and for our state.”
