Madagascar rounded off the group stage of the 2019 African Cup of Nations with a stunning display against the Super Eagles of Nigeria who were poor on the night.
The Malagasy side took the lead in the 13th minute through Nomenjanahary after a defensive blunder from Leon Balogun.
The Super Eagles dominated possession but made very little of it with inaccurate passes and poor attempts at goal.
Ndidi was introduced into the game after a dismal showing from John Ogu, but conceded an unnecessary free kick close to the Nigerian goal which resulted to the second goal for Madagascar after Carolus’ 53rd minute strike was deflected into the net.
Nigeria will face Ghana in the knockout stage.
