The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a major redeployment of senior officers, aimed at enhancing operational flexibility, injecting fresh perspectives, and optimizing leadership capabilities.
Among those affected is Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Lanre Oluwatoyin, a Kwara-born officer, who has been appointed as the Chief of Defence Space Administration at the Defence Headquarters.
Other notable redeployments include AVM Olasunkanmi Abidoye, now Chief of Standards and Evaluation at NAF Headquarters; AVM Adeniyi Amesinlola, Chief of Transformation and Innovation at NAF Headquarters; and AVM Abubakar Adamu, Group Managing Director of NAFIL Group.
The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, congratulated the new appointees and emphasized the importance of strategic flexibility and resource optimization for enhanced operational effectiveness.
The redeployment also saw changes in leadership at various NAF commands, including Tactical Air Command, Mobility Command, Air Training Command, and Logistics Command.
The move is seen as a strategic effort to reposition the NAF for optimal performance in addressing current security challenges.
