Angry protesters and operatives of the Nigeria Police are reported to have clashed, following the invasion of Shoprite, a South African-owned supermarket in Lekki, Lagos, today.
The protesters, who were reacting to recurring xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, chanted war songs during the invasion but were resisted by policemen.

Premium Times reports that a Nigerian man was shot during the fracas that ensued.
It was also gathered that a police vehicle was burnt in the process.
