Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and Emir Muhammadu Sanusi put aside their alleged rift, as both leaders shared a handshake when they met at the Eid praying ground today in Kano.
Governor Ganduje and the Emir haven’t been seen together publicly since the governor split the Kano emirate into five.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje is alleged to be embittered by the Emir’s reported opposition to his reelection bid, hence, allegedly embarked on a personal vendetta against the Emir–an accusation the governor has long dismissed as fictitious.
The religious celebration brought both leaders together a day after the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission had recommended the suspension of the Emir over alleged misappropriation of N3.4 billion.
