A section of the newly-commissioned Geri-Alimi underpass has been roped off following a massive crack on the 3-month-old infrastructure.
The crack, which was first spotted about a week ago had forced motorists plying the axis of the bridge leading to Airport road to wriggle through the unaffected part of the road.
It was gathered that consequent upon the continued spread of the crack, the entire section has been cordoned off to forestall further damages.
The underpass which was commissioned by the immediate past Governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed during the twilight of his administration, is being touted to have been constructed in a hurry.
Some Kwarans have queried why the project which gulped billions of naira was already in an ailing state few months after its commissioning.
