A frontline aspirant for the senate presidency, and former governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje, has withdrawn from the race.
He made the decision to step down after a crucial meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja today.
Goje has endorsed his rival, Senator Ahmed Lawan according to Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai who made the disclosure after the closed door meeting with the president.
The 9th Senate Presidency election is expected to hold on June 11.
