…pays tuition fees of outstanding Kwara central participants
The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim Oloriegbe has on Tuesday paid for tuition fees, accommodation as well as monthly stipends of outstanding Fellows of the 2020 Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship (CELF) from his senatorial district.
In a press statement issued in Ilorin, the convener of CELF, Mr. Lawal Olohungbebe, on behalf of the Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA), Hannis Institute for Development Studies (HIDS) and other partners in the project, said Senator Oloriegbe in fulfillment of his pledge to provide scholarship to three outstanding Fellows from Kwara Central has released fund for the payment of all expenses of the beneficiaries for 2020/2021 academic session.
Olohungbebe described the gesture as having a far-reaching impact in empowering young people, especially those from less privileged rural areas, whose difficulty of accessing quality education would be greatly eased with the provision of the scholarship by Senator Oloriegbe.
He thanked the Senator for his public-spirited efforts towards community advancement and human development while relaying the gratitude of the beneficiaries and their parents.
