The Presidency has reacted to speculations suggesting that the Head of Service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has tendered her letter of retirement to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Rumors had earlier suggested that Oyo-Ita forwarded her retirement letter as a result of pressure from her family over alleged N3billion contract scam.
In a brief statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, it was revealed that the Presidency did not receive any letter of intent from Oyo-Ita to retire from service.
“We have no such letter here, in the event that such a letter exists. This is our position”, Garba Shehu stated.
INSIDER had earlier reported that Oyo-Ita was hospitalized after a four-day grilling by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N3billion contract scam.
