In consonance with its noble tradition of enhancing self sufficiency among indigent Kwarans by providing monetary aid for the purpose of funding small-scale businesses, the Salman Shagaya Foundation has announced its 14th empowerment program scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2019.
The foundation, championed by Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya, will be hosting the 14th edition of its empowerment exercise, which is renowned for empowering over 500 people with ten thousand naira business money.
Remarkably, after thoughtful consideration of the prospects of reaching more beneficiaries, the foundation opted for an upward review of the number of recipients, taking it up a notch to 700, due to public demands.
The SSF made the disclosure through a release on its Facebook page, highlighting the beneficiaries as petty traders, market women, the widowed, the aged, artisans and other needy bodies.
The Shagaya foundation further assured the people of Kwara State of its continued commitment to their welfare, appreciating the people for their support and encouragement over the years.
“We would like to assure the general public that we remain committed to our roles as an NGO with clear motives. The people’s wellbeing is our ultimate concerns and we shall not fail to do our best whenever is required.
“We must also appreciate your support and encouragement over the years. It’s our hope that you remain supporting to help us in our role as relief giver to the society”, the statement added.
