Former Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has commiserated with the people Patigi over the death of the Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdulmalik ibn Mohammad; and the Lafiagi community over the passing of Magajin Gerin Lafiagi, Alhaji Ahmadu Alhassan.
Abdullahi, according to a statement released by his media team in Ilorin, said the loss of these revered community leaders has undeniably left a huge vacuum in the leadership of these communities.
“As muslims, the passing of fellow believers during the holy month of Ramadhan is significant to us as it is indicative of the mercies of Almighty Allah. It is even more so when such individuals are personalities of faith. Their meaningful contributions to peaceful coexistence and community development will always be remembered.
“I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Patigi, Alhaji Umar Bologi ll; the Emir of Lafiagi, Alhaji Muhammad-Kudu Kawu; and also the entire communities of Lafiagi and Patigi” Abdullahi said.
The Former Minister urged the families, friends and associates of the deceased leaders to take solace in the understanding that both men lived their lives with steadfast commitment to the services of their respective communities and prayed for eternal repose of their souls.
