The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been appointed as a member of the Board of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC). The National Economic Council (NEC) yesterday in Abuja ratified the nomination of the Governor and five others as members of the Board.
The NEC appointment of the six state governors to the Board means the six geopolitical zones are represented in the committee. The six governors appointed are Borno, Katsina, Imo, Ekiti, Kwara, and Akwa Ibom States Governors.
The 142nd NEC meeting presided over by its Chairman, Vice President Kashim Shettima, saw the presentation of key updates and recommendations from various ad hoc committees. The Chairman, while announcing the Committee members said he is well assured that they will bring their expertise to the board.
The outcome of the NEC meeting is expected to be presented to the President on Tuesday.
