The Kwara State Police Command has paraded six suspects, including a couple, in connection with the murder of Awesu Mojisola, a student of Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa.
The suspects, Adebayo Joshua Happiness, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Adebayo Adeniyi, and three others, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the killing of Awesu Mojisola, a 21-year-old graduating student.
According to the Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, Adebayo Joshua Happiness had lured Mojisola to a hotel in Ilorin under false pretenses, where he brutally murdered her and stole her phone and money.
The police commissioner revealed that the suspect’s parents were arrested after attempting to tamper with evidence by retrieving their son’s belongings from his school.
Items recovered from the suspects include an iPhone 11 Pro, and the investigation is ongoing. The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
