The people of Ijesha Land and Osun State are mourning the loss of their beloved monarch, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa Obokun of Ijesha Land, who passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the age of 86.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has expressed his condolences to the people of Ijesha Land, the Owa Obokun traditional Council, and the immediate family of the late king. In a statement, Governor Adeleke praised Oba Aromolaran as a “deeply selfless father” who prioritized the development and wellbeing of his people. He also highlighted the king’s commitment to good governance, regardless of political affiliations.
