Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has been honoured with the Forbes Magazine’s Best of Africa Leadership Excellence Award for 2024. This esteemed award recognizes leaders who embody integrity, innovation, and impact.
Presented by Steve Forbes, chairman of Integrated Whale Media Investments and owner of Forbes Magazine, the award ceremony took place at Forbes House in New York, USA, on Friday. Due to the devastating flood that recently struck Maiduguri, Governor Zulum was unable to attend in person but was represented by Dr. Mairo Mandara, his chief adviser and coordinator for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Response.
Upon receiving the award, Governor Zulum expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honoured to accept this award. We are proud of our achievements, and we are confident that we can leverage these successes to achieve an even greater impact”.
