The University of Ilorin has appointed Mr. Abiodun Lawal as its new substantive Bursar. The decision was made at the 186th meeting of the Governing Council, held on October 23, 2024.
Mr. Lawal, formerly a Deputy Bursar, will serve a five-year term effective November 1, 2024. His appointment aligns with the University Miscellaneous Act.
Announcing the decision, Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, confirmed Mr. Lawal’s credentials and expertise make him an ideal candidate for the position.
As Bursar, Mr. Lawal will oversee the university’s financial management, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
