Nigeria’s Youth Minister, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, joined forces with diplomatic leaders yesterday to commemorate the 2024 United Nations Day at Abuja’s Yar’Adua Centre. The event, “Youth Pact of the Future,” spotlighted Nigeria’s efforts to secure a prosperous future for its youth.
At the gathering, Olawande highlighted Nigeria’s potential to champion the UN’s vision, leveraging its youthful population. He urged stakeholders to prioritize a youth-centered future. The event was organized by the United Nations Nigerian Office and brought together dignitaries like Minister of Justice Chief Lateef Fagbemi and UN Resident Coordinator Mohamed M. Malick Fall.
Olawande praised the UN’s 79-year legacy of promoting peace, human rights, and sustainable development. He emphasized Nigeria’s potential to champion the UN’s vision, given its youthful population, and urged stakeholders to prioritize a youth-centered future with sustainable opportunities.
