…as Students, Community Demand VC’s Resignation
By Nafiu Toyin Abdulqadri
A storm is brewing at Ahman Pategi University as some students and the host community are gearing up for a massive protest against the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kazeem Gbolagade. The protesters, who spoke to InsiderNg on condition of anonymity, cited fundamental issues with the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership style and management of university affairs.
According to one of the protesters, the planned protest is a direct response to the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor’s inadequate management, which has led to a decline in the university’s progress since Professor Gbolagade’s tenure began on March 1, 2024. The university community is deeply dissatisfied with their leadership and is calling for both the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor to step down.
InsiderNg will be providing live updates from the university’s main campus in Pategi, so stay tuned for more information on this developing story.
