Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, met with the Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties to discuss solutions to Nigeria’s youth challenges. The Forum praised Olawande’s leadership style and open-door policy, acknowledging that Nigerian youth now have a vital link to the government.
The Minister emphasized the need for a new governance approach, urging everyone to move beyond traditional politics and party affiliations. He stressed that the country’s interests should come before party loyalty, and that leaders must work together to support, empower, and protect Nigerian youth.
Olawande highlighted the importance of youth leaders’ support in advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He encouraged the Forum to create more opportunities for youth to thrive across political parties.
Regarding the upcoming National Youth Conference, the Minister assured a wholly inclusive process, ensuring the Forum’s full participation before, during, and after the event. He emphasized the need for collaboration between the government and youth leaders to achieve the conference’s objectives and President Tinubu’s plans for Nigerian youth.
